Trip from Florida to
Ecuador
In the summer of 2009
or 2010, I will take my KR2
on a trip from Florida to Ecuador. I will fly to Key West FL, then along
the north coast of Cuba to Cancun Mexico. From Cancun
I will fly south
following the coastline of Belize to The bay islands of Honduras. From
Honduras I will fly to Costa Rica, then to
Panama. From Panama I will
fly along the coast of Columbia to Ecuador. I well return along the same
route but go into Guatemala to Guatemala City, then north to view some Mayan ruins .
I will
complete my return back to Cancun then to Key West and back home.
I will be visiting a child I
sponsored in Guatemala.
I will be using ONC charts for navigation.
Flying will all be VFR when possible to allow for maximum sight seeing. I
am planning
for the trip to be two to three weeks in duration. I will be adding
a external bearing and a turbocharger to my engine. Because of upgrading
my engine and work schedule I may have to wait until 2010 for this trip.

page as I get closer to the departure date. The camera mounted in the
tail of my KR2 will provide video of my trip and will be posted on this
