All original Piper struts have an AD on
them requiring annual inspections for internal rust. There is also an AD
to replace the original attachment bolt using cut threads with a larger bolt
using rolled threads. The struts I am using have had the larger bolt
installed, but still need the annual inspection for rust. The paint was
stripped off the struts, and any holes welded shut.
