Measuring: 200 & 400 Series Vacuum Pumps | |
| 1. Remove inspection port cap screw. 2. Align inspection port with hole by turning shaft. Use flashlight to assist 3. Insert probe, (A) such as small straw or toothpick. Make sure it comes in contact with the worn vane, not the rotor. Make sure you are NOT measuring from where the screw head touches the cavity (recessed area). See figure 3. 4. Mark probe at the point it comes in contact with the seat of the inspection point. See figure 3. 5. Remove probe and measure the depth of which it was inserted. This depth should not exceed 11/16" or .687". 6. Reinstall cap screw and washer (MS35338-43) and torque to 14 in. lbs.

| This procedure should be performed after 500 hours total time on the pump, or in accordance with aircraft manufacturer recommendations. After the initial inspection, the pump should be re-inspected at every annual inspection or 100 hours |

No other measuring device supplied by any other manufacturer is acceptable. |
