March 19, 2009 VP Update

We finished the painting of the fuselage.  We fabricated an adaptor to attach the tailwheel to the spring.  (The tailwheel is from an old shopping cart.)  We also modified the caster to attach the cables to steer the wheel.  We took the parts to be welded, then painted them.  We cut and drilled aluminum adaptor plates to attach the landing gear to the fuselage.  We repaired a brake shoe pad that was coming loose, put new tires on the rims, and reassembled.  After the fuselage paint was dry, we installed the landing gear.
