Advance notice is required.  Fax the entry form and have the form with you when entering the country.  You usually will not get a reply from Honduras unless they deny you permission to enter.

 The following airports are international:

Tegucigalpa  (MHTG)

This is the main airport for Honduras.  Again, the military area is on the west side and the commercial area is on the east.

Roatan  (MHRO) 

The party island, see San Pedro Sula (below)

San Pedro Sula  (MHLM)

If you are going to Roatan and plan to stay any length of time, check in at San Pedro Sula. (or any other Honduran international airport)  Why, because as you are now a domestic flight, your parking at Roatan is about half the cost of the international fee.

La Ceilba (MHLC)

Tegucigalpa has a short runway (6,000 feet at about 3,500’ elevation) and is surrounded by mountains.  You drop down fast, touch down, and hit the brakes.  Your passengers seem to always want to “high five” you after you stop.  (kind of fun watching the 737s and 727s come in and out)
