Ha'ena Beach Park
Camping is allowed with a county permit (808 241-6660), and the beach is lovely year round and has complete facilities. There is plenty of parking near the beach. The sand is coarse and therefore comes off very easily. The shore is totally exposed, lacking any reef protection. The smallest of waves has a surprising amount of force so swim with care.
