Once checked in, you can fly to any national airport however, as most runways in Belize are very short, be prepared to show a weight and balance prior to receiving permission to some airstrips.  English is the official language.

We have seen and been told that with a US passport, and a private aircraft , No Belizean visa is required in advance.

Climate:

Dry season is from October to May. Hurricane season is from June to November with most weather being seen from Mid August to Mid September.

When to go:

The winter season (Mid December to April) shows high prices and you may need reservations. The Dry season is considered to be the best time to visit. Flying during the “Wet” season may be a challenge for VFR pilots.
