Camp Symonette

Camp Symonette is located in the settlement of James Cistern, on the island of Eleuthera. It was built Sir Roland Symonette, first Premiere of the Bahamas, as a Summer Camp for Bahamian youth in 1978. It has grown and evolved into the home base for Bahamas Methodist Habitat throughout the year, and still hosts the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist’s Church Summer Youth Camp.

Busses from the camp pick you up at the airport and take you the short distance to the camp.  The camp is built with three wings radiating from the center.  One wing is for the Men, one is for the Women, and one is for the kitchen and dining area.
